The letter ‘E’
ENTER
E – embark on a determined plan
N – never doubt i.e. be resolute
T – take action
E – experience the fullness
R – rest in the assurance
When we determine in our heart to embark on a plan, we need to know deep within that it is the path that we want to take. We have to be sure of the fact and weigh the matter in our mind and heart. (Assurance produces conviction.)
We should have the peace that we are going to take the right step. A wise man weighs the situation before he takes it. Every action we take will produce a reaction. There are consequences for what we do. (Only fools rush in where angels fear to tread.)
When we step into a path, we cannot ‘unstep’ out of it. We cannot turn back the clock and like an egg that is cracked, it cannot be ‘uncracked’. Therefore, it is vital to think before we act.
There are 372 occurrences of the word ‘enter’ in the New Testament alone, according to the Bible Concordance.
The word ‘enter’ is a verb, which is a doing word. It requires action on our part. Whatever we do, we are responsible for it. So the importance of thinking before doing cannot be overstressed. ( A man reaps what he sows.)
To enter means moving from point A to point B. It involves change, which we hope would be positive rather than negative. How do we know without a shadow of doubt that this is the right move? We expect it to turn out the way we envisage but we know that there are no guarantees in life.
Since we cannot predict the future, we cannot know with 100% certainty that when we enter into something, we will get the result we expected. Only God knows!
John 5:3 and John 10:1 show us that the only way to enter any situation we encounter in life is through Jesus (the Prince of Peace) and the Holy Spirit (the Comforter).
Proverbs 3:5-6 is another golden verse alongside John 3:16. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Read carefully: John 10:1 “Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”
John 5:3 “Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into the Kingdom of God!”
Enter life’s door confidently with the Holy Spirit (the Giver of Life) leading you each step of the way. (Read John 6:63.) This is our 100% guarantee. Will you enter into the bounty of God’s choicest ‘fruit’ as you allow the Holy Spirit to lead and direct your way? ◊
