Get Ready
Are you ready?
Look around you…
What do you see?
Signs, signals, scenarios
Something is imminent.
The whole earth is in anticipation…
The crust of the earth is cracking.
The birds of the air; they know it.
The fish in the depths of the ocean; they sense it.
Something is happening for sure!
People all around our world feel it in their gut.
There is definitely something big looming.
Evil cannot go on unabated,
The innocent cannot suffer injustice indefinitely.
Judgment Day is coming!
Get ready!
The stage is set,
The players are ready,
The spotlight is on,
Something is about to happen.
Are you ready?
Many are called but few are chosen.
Not all who say, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter.
Only those who have their lamps full of oil and their wicks trimmed,
Qualify for entry as He, the Lord Most Holy comes.
~ 2 Peter 3:5-7 ‘the day of judgement by fire is coming’
Part 2
Are you ready?
You really need to be ready,
Your whole life depends on it.
There is more to life that meets the eye,
Don’t be fooled by the temporary façade,
We are not here on a capricious thought.
Before you were formed, God knew you,
He foreordained the path you must traverse
But He gave you freedom of choice.
Your destiny is in your hand and you get to choose.
The choices you make affects your life for all time.
Judgement Day is drawing closer,
The big book of your life’s story will be opened.
You have to give an account for everything,
All will be revealed, nothing can be hidden.
Are you ready for that consequential day?

Part 3
Will you be ready?
Are your garments washed,
Are they white as snow?
The Lord is coming for a spotless bride.
Are you ready to meet your King?
Are you ready for that astounding day?
Like a bride prepares for her groom,
Like the servants of the king prepare for his return,
Like a family prepares for their son’s graduation feast,
We all need to prepare for the soon coming King.
That triumphant day is fast approaching!
Will you be ready when He comes?
He comes encapsulated in glory.
All heavens declare His majesty and splendour.
How do you get ready?
Get your life tuned to things above, not things below.
No one can deny the eminence of His coming.
All eyes will see, all ears will hear,
No one can run, no one can hide.
How will He find you?
Will you be ready when He comes?
Get ready! Get ready! Get ready!
Like the voice crying out the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way.’
Steer your life on the right highway.
There is only one road to that treasure trove.
Circumvent your journey straight to God’s eternal kingdom!
