So you have been dealt a major setback! You can’t seem to move on. All you do is lie there and burrow in the situation that seems so insurmountable. You wish you could just curl up and die. Well, DON’T! As long as you have breath, you have life!
Even if you cannot even crawl, the fact that you inch your way forward, is admirable. You have to move forward. Just don’t look back because this will hinder your progress. You say, ‘This is so hard’. I fully agree. But when you look ahead to the price that awaits you, that will give you the strength to keep moving on – see 2 Timothy 4:8.
Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy of your soul. He is the accuser of the brethren since the beginning of time – read Genesis 3:1-4; 2 Corinthians 2:11 and Revelation 12:10. But we know that he is a defeated foe and all he can do is try to intimidate you and play tricks on you by using your logic. Remember facts speak for themselves and the truth will always set you free – John 8:31-32.
What a blessed assurance we have that we can find refuge for our souls in the midst of the turmoil. Matthew 11:28 (NLT) says, “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Now is not the time to quit. Get up and keep moving on. ◊
