Here is my testimony to the greatness and awesomeness of God our Heavenly Father…
I see myself generally as a fit and healthy person. I’m not young but I’m not old either. Once, when I had tummy issues, I thought it might be ulcers so I went to the doctor. He advised an endoscopy and then on second thoughts said I should get a colonoscopy done as well. I didn’t think much of it then. When the results came in, nothing showed on the endoscopy, which was good, I thought. Then doctor told me he had the results of the colonoscopy and asked to see my family. Then I knew something was not right.
I was diagnosed with cancer. Shock and disbelief hit us all. Nobody we knew in our family had cancer. Doctor said it was critical and urgent surgery was required. Well, the marathon began… tests, checkups, bookings, etc. There was so much to see to in such short time. Before I knew it, I was having the operation, which in itself is a miracle because it is so hard to get a physician and surgeon as the waiting list goes into months.
Colon cancer is very debilitating, to say the least. At the hospital ward, I have seen grown men cry in great pain. With much prayers from all my loved ones and skillful hands of the medical team, the operation went very well. I began to make a great recovery, which amazed even the doctors. Thanks be to God, my Heavenly Father.
Then came the radiation treatments, which took a lot out of me. But once again, I trusted God to give me the strength to go on and for His divine healing in my body. God’s grace and favour prevailed in my life and I became stronger and better each day.
I did Chemo and Radiation Treatment every day for five weeks. After the treatment, I did two follow up tests over a period of one year and my oncologist declared me Cancer-Free. I am now healed – Praise God!
Had it not been for that ‘second thought’ of the doctor to do a colonoscopy, who knows if I would be here to tell my story. I hope my story has been an encouragement to you too and made you trust in the providence of God our Heavenly Father.
Here is one of my favourite scriptures, found in Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” https://biblehub.com/context/ephesians/3-20.htm
